I watched it yesterday. Its so terribly sad.
I think its very inspirational, about courage and dignity.
And it could teach some people a thing or two about how to treat others.

Poor guy. I remember him somewhat from childhood, watching or reading about him in school.

My mother made me watch some of the movie as a kid. She did it because she thought (and still does believe) that I thought that I was the only person in the world with a birth defect. I have a lot of empathy toward the handicapped and birth-defected, and worrying about them triggers my depression.

I couldn't even sit through the whole thing it was that sad. No person should have to go through what he went through; society needs a kick up the backside. :(
