I've just started listening to copious amounts of opera. I never really liked or hated it in the past...I just sort of shrugged and though, ''oh...opera....cool."
Recently however, in the past 3 months or so, I've begun to realise and ponder on the beauty of the human voice as well as the beauty of the accompanying orchestra.
I've decided, as of tonight, I'll listen to a bit of opera every night before bed. It calms me down, and at the same time uplifts me. It distracts my negative thoughts about how much I hate about the world, the inhabitants and the perversion of society and focus on the beauty of the voice....and it's working kind of well.
If anyone would like me to, I'd recommend some. Currently I'm listening to Giacomo Puccini's 'Tosca'
Goodnight everyone :)
