Man, nightclubs must have have changed a lot....or maybe it depends on location. I never went to one until I was mabye 25. Back then in the 80s to mid 90s they were everywhere in the suburbs, big clubs with dance floors and no one at the door to keep you out, they would check your age is all. But it did seem that men outnumbered women so maybe now thats why they only let in so many single men.
Anyway I was very shy and I never had much fun at the clubs and never met anyone. To enjoy the experieince, you have to be loose and casual and good at small talk and chatting up girls. You have to walk up to a girl, talk to her, get rejected, do it again and again and just keep doing it until you dont get rejected, I couldnt take that. I could only occasionally work up the nerve to talk to one girl and if it didnt go well which was almost always the case, that was all I could take.
