I feel that they are. To me, they are mostly right, more successful, better in any talent, and more popular than we are. Also, they hold jobs better. I can't do anything well. Tonight, for example, I added the wrong ingredient to our dinner. My husband said he didn't mind, but I failed to see the perfection. I am mediocre at best with many of my skills and interests.

Women like myself are only here to bear children, and nothing else. Anything we do, men will always do better. Could anyone please tell me otherwise, because right now, I hate myself for being a woman.

That's not a good way to feel. I would like to hear a man answer your question.

Honestly, I try not to think about stuff like this. People being better than other people and all that. It's always a thought that either makes me sad, frustrated, or jealous.

I think you have to set these kinds of thoughts aside, as hard as it may be, because they only can hinder you, and even hinder others as well. Be your best self, the best that you can be. Things will get in your way but instead with this mindset, you will break those barriers.

It actually really sucks being a man in modern-day society.

I would like to think we are equal but I do agree with Black Sheep. 80% of suicides in my country are male. Maybe the reason for this is that it's easier for women to open up about their thoughts/problems/feelings to their friends and family but there is an expectation that men are supposed to be in control of their emotions. Men just find it extremely difficult to talk to other men about very personal things like depression. I actually found it much easier to talk to female friends about such issues.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying that women have it easier than men. I'm saying that being male in today's world isn't as easy as many may think.

there are so many reasons. I don't even know where to begin. Unfortunately it would probably offend some here so I won't bother.

Honestly, I would probably agree with you. The whole feminist trend culture thing of today enrages me. I am in a position where I am around a lot of [feminist] women in my life, and in a few of my classes there have literally been girls to say that they hate men. No discussion, end all be all statement. Ridiculous. Plus I think there are just more difficult standards (as in more difficult to achieve/overcome, such as attaining the role of "provider" (and for those who don't believe that those standards exist, they do)) for men to live by than women. Maybe you could find a way to say it so that it's not offensive? (even make a new thread?) I truly would like to know!
