Default gaining weight

i hate gaining weight. i hate that feeing when suddenly you stop lying to yourself and realize how much you've actually gained. i'm afraid to even put out my skinny jeans as motivation. seeing them may cause me to freak out. and by may, i mean will. what do other women do as motivation? i want to be over the top ridiculous, like leaving myself little notes everywhere etc. because the depression is really not going to help me get a healthy body back. but i don't want to compare myself to anyone but me. i suppose i could do a before picture right now. oh god. yuck.

Look, I am no super model. I can admit im pretty much on the large side. I dont care how much ive gained, I cant really look at the scales in shame. but you know, it is not a crime. I being in school has a huge tendency to make me look at myself and others at compare, I like wearing skinnies and i wear them proudly. go nuts ok, it makes you feel like you can conqure the world

i wish i could be that like that, but i just feel so gross. it's not even comparing myself to other people, it's just looking and feeling the way i do. i know having a body i like will help me. it's the getting there that's a pain in the ass.

I've gained about 2 stone in a year.

I went through a phase of eating take aways like 3-4 times a week.

I'm starting to notice a double chin coming and a bit of a fat stomach. I feel like a fat bitch, when I sit down I feel bigger for some reason :/

I put similar advice on another post, so here goes. :)
The healthiest way to make your body how you want it is to:
1) get plenty of rest
2) take good care of your skin, teeth, hair, and pick out flattering clothes that work well for your body size, shape, and color
3) eat a balanced diet and stay hydrated
4) begin a workout routine you feel you can do regularly (few times a week or more). Pick something that sounds both fun and healthy and give it a try.

TakeMeAway, ditto on the sitting down. Suddenly I'm keenly aware of my stomach and my hatred for it! Trying hard not to become obsessed. blahgurl, I like all your suggestions. Been trying to stay on sparkling water and not sugarfree red bulls, which seems like the equivalent of making my body a garbage disposal. my problem is a over work out, to the point where i have to take days off to recover. and then the binging begins. evil cycle perpetuated by me. going to work hard on keeping a balance. to everything! haha.
