Default I miss my son

I had to let my son move in with his father back in November, so he could go to the school he wanted to go to. It's only until I get a place, but it's so hard. I hardly ever see him anymore and I miss him like crazy. And I'm worried that he'll stay with his dad even when I do get a place. He's 11, and these days being 11 isn't easy. Not like it was when I was 11. I feel like I've already lost him. My life is so different without him living with me, I hate it. I'm failing as a parent.

you are a great mother.

I hope it wont be long untill your son is back with you. I know how hard it is. I had to SEND my daughter away to her dad when she was a teenager, and thought i would "lose" her. But you dont ever stop being his mum to him where ever hes staying. Take this time to direct your energy onto sorting the situation as swiftly as you are able and dont worry that you're a bad mum coz you're not and never have been.

Mousey, I totally agree with what everyone is saying. Your son will always be your son. He loves you, and you love him. Kids have a way of know what ios going on even when we don't think that they do. Have you tried talking to him about some of this? Not necessarily going into great detail, but just telling him how much you miss and love him. Spend as much time with him as you can, in the evenings and on the weekends.
Hang on for tomorrow, because tomorrow is another day, and it may not be the best, but at least it's not today.
