Been smoking regularly since i was 16. I quit for about 4 months last year and picked it back up when my husband and i started having real marital problems. Since wensday when my cat died i have sky rocketed to about a pack a day (20 smokes). I really want to quit but for some reason since those 4 months my body freaks out really bad and i cry for days on end.

People who have never smoked don't understand the pleasure of smoking or the lack of desire to quit. I also hate it when my young nephews are programmed to tell me how sick I'll be or that I'll die if I smoke. I'm supposed to be quiting but I LIKE smoking -

I never met you and yet I know you,
at least I know much about you.
I know you need food, shelter
and things to do to keep you sane.
And I know that especially, you need someone . . .

I can't say that I am that someone,
but I am someone . . .

i've been smoking on and off for 17 years since i was 13. i don't smoke that much, only usually 2-3 a day but when i drink that goes up considerably. i really want to quit this time and i only have 2 or 3 a day so you'd figure it'd be easy right? wrong! seems like the morning is the toughest for me. if i don't have one i get headaches by 11 am guaranteed. i only had 1 today and 1 yesterday and i'm gonna quit tomorrow for sure. i really enjoy smoking but personally i am worried about getting lung cancer. it's not that expensive for me, only 1 pack per week on average but it is still not a great habit for me. no offense to all those who smoke 30 or more a day but i can't see how you do it!
