Default How to Enjoy Working Out?

Hi gang,

Is there a way to change my mentality to love and enjoy going to the gym rather than loathing and dreading it? Or should I just do walking and yoga?

That's a good question :) Picking a good routine for the gym must meet your specific goal. What is your goal? I must add, because it is very important, that you choose a diet along with your plans. A dieting plan that is geared to your workout and schedule is essential.

Trying doing exercises that you enjoy. It could be dancing, swimming, walking, pole dancing, etc. Personally, I like taking walks because I enjoy being around nature and I have fun doing pilates.

Hi welcome!

My goal is to lose 60 pounds by November, thanksgiving. I'm on the raw food diet...

Of course you can challenge yourself inside, but outside when I first started running I would do it at about 4:30am & only commuting cyclists would be coming in & an odd runner with backpack. I would count the cyclists.

If you do decide to run outside in the early morning, a light or two can be really helpful. :)

I would also add finding something you enjoy doing, or just taking monthly photo's of your progress along the way can be all one needs to stay focused in the gym.

What type of Raw Diet are you on? Vegan? Paleo? Omnivore? High Fruit? High Fat? Gourmet? 811? High Raw?

I'm about 75% Raw Vegan. I have some dairy in the form of yogurt and milk.

Thanks for your help. I'm also a smoker so I'm afraid I might not be a good runner.

Does walking at a normal pace aid in weight loss?

To be honest with you I never workout in a gym. Sometimes, I use the treadmill at home. To make the time go faster, I listen to music or watch a YouTube video.
