Default Help please!!

I really want to work out again but I don't have any motivation because of my depression. The last time I worked out was months ago. I am not overweight, but I want to be in better shape. I just can't get the motivation to get off my butt and do it. Anyone have any ideas or thoughts on how to get motivated to exercise?

i'm in pretty much the same situation as you, LH. and though i haven't fixed myself or found the perfect answer, i think it's easiest to exercise/etc. with somebody. running partners, exercise buddies, whatever-- someone to share the burden, and possibly make exercising fun! (i've got to do this myself, i'm so lazyy)

I found having someone to exercise with always brought out my competitive streak, and that motivated me to no end.

I also found keeping a chart of what I exercised and when - and putting it somewhere where I'd see it every day, like the back of my door - very motivating. Because the blank spaces made me feel like I hadn't done the things I should have.

And when you do start to exercise, get some lovely tunes to go with it. Dance/electronic music works best for me, but whatever gets you going!
