i've tried accupunture and the accupunturist gave me some meditative exercises to do, mostly gently strecthing (stuff like that) it's been helpful. but sometimes i don't have enough time to do them cause i work. i think if i invested more time into them they would work better. but so far they are helpful.

I've been really interested in this as help for depression as well. Let me know how it goes. I was just thinking about it and then saw this thread! Weird.

I"m trying it as my preferred method of therapy right now. I'm in a college course on it and I do mindfullness once per day, starting today. We're in the very basics of it so I can't tell you much about it or what the results are.

What I can do is upload the audio I listened to today, it's about a half hour and it's called a "body scan." If you take it seriously (she's got a kinda weird voice) it can really relax you. Just listen and participate, I fell riiiiight asleep afterward and man did it feel good.

If you want this audio, give me a message and I'll give you a link sometime tomorrow to download it.

I put a thread in "alternative treatments" on this site, i'm going to update that every week as a journal kind of thing and let everybody know how it works for me and give any tips i can to people who want to try it.

I have been meditating lately in complete silence, and I gotta say it does help me to relax. I just followed some quick tips someone posted on their blog. haven't used a cd

The jist of her tips were (but not limited to) sit comfortably upright with your eyes closed, breathe slow, deep breaths, listen closely to and focus on your breathing, and free your mind. simple stuff, but it's helped me tons.

I do it just about 5-10 mins a day :)

hope it helps you too, good luck!

Hey Miguel, would love to try that audio, someone recommended it to me and also to read about buddhism because of the mindfulness.
