Default Gonna try & quit smoking.

I don't really give two shits about my health, or if I stink or anything like that, I'm just sick of being bitched at for smoking them all. lol

I think it's a really good choice to give up smoking, regardless of who or what you're doing it for. I have to wonder, though, why you don't care about your health? Wouldn't your health be a better motivation to help you stop smoking?

Everything is trivial to me, even my own health. & I believe I started because I heard that smoking shortens your life.

I love it but its to expensive. I've tried medication, so now I'm gonna test out the Stop smoking game for Nintendo DS.

That's a good goal.

I hear if you manage to not do anything for about 4 weeks then the habit is broken. Good luck belial, keep us updated. ^_^

I'm also in the process of quitting. I kind of don't want to, but it's just too expensive anymore. I hate the anxiety of wondering if we can find enough change to buy another pack. As of today, we have 53 cents, and no cigs. So I guess today is my first day smoke-free.

Anyway, I'm taking Chantix. I'm amazed at how well it works. I quit with it last summer, easily. Chose to start again cause hubby still smokes so they're always RIGHT THERE.

If you really want to quit....you can do it!!

Isn't Chantix the 'stop-smoking' drug that causes suicide? I really don't think anyone on this forum need something like that in their system. But, if it's working then go for it.

I was on that in October, in the UK its called "Champix". I had to stop it after 3 weeks because me made me feel sucidal and paranoid.

My mother was also taking it and had to stop, she thought she was losing the plot.

But for some people it works, good luck.

I quit chewing Copenhagen about two weeks ago. Quite a battle. So if your health isn't why you are quitting, and you want to be pissed off about it, try this: Are you going to to quit because it is the right thing to do, or are you going to quit because you came into this world without being hooked on nicotine, and you will be goddamned if you will let it control you? That's how I do it (and just about everything else, heh-heh).
