Default Gaining weight and building muscles..

I am a bit underweight, and I don't feel well that way, so I want to gain weight. I also want to build more muscles, since I feel too weak. I used to exercise (dance) quite a lot, but haven't for the last two years, so I have to start slowly.. Anyone have any ideas for a good workout program?

A Friend of mine DDR's - Dance, Dance Revoloution - but she does that to loose weight. I wouldn't try any of those bulk-up weight gain powders you can get either... I used to work in a health supplies store and we never sold it because using too much of it can give people cancer. My best advice is to go to a gym and ask a Personal Trainer. It might cost a little bit, but if you can get a membership, after a few weeks you'd know what to do and not need to be trained. Then you'd be on your way to your goal

Thanks for the advice, Vex.. I can't afford a personal trainer now though.. I've taken some nutrition shakes from the pharmacy before, and I believe those have helped me to gain weight.. Though I'd prefer to eat normal food..

Don't worry about a personal trainer unless you want to be spoonfed how to build weight. They're mainly for motivation (how they support you and the fact you're paying top dollar in that you don't want it to go to waste).

Ask people in gyms how to use their machines, and take a look at different websites then build your own diet (if you're serious about it) + your own workouts.

Have you ever tried pilates, or yoga? I haven't done either, but I'm told they're great for toning, and for the mind too.
