Default Diet Journal.

So, I have come to a decision after posting https://www.takethislife.com/health-f...-i-look-26982/ I really need to start a diet journal, and actually keep it. I think the fact that it's here, at this site, would make me want to update it more. Just because I know a lot of people here will be reading and commenting on it. It'll make me want to update it more. So we'll see how this works out.

Wednesday August 05, 2009: approx. 10:30 AM:

I had an apple for breakfast. I think that's a pretty good way to start off the day. I don't feel all that hungry now. Perhaps I should start eating more fruit.

Diet journals really work. At least it did for me. I would be totally honest with myself and what I ate. Don't laugh but ... I use to put smiley faces and frowns next to the good and bad and if I had more frowns than smiles, my punishment would be added intensity to my workout routine for the next day. Working out is VERY important to weight loss, and it takes time and effort. It's not just a physical but mental challenge. You just have to take it day by day. But you have to have the INTENTION to want to change. Maybe you could do some exercises that don't require you to run and jump. Dumbells are great, sitting down, pumping them guns lol. Even going for a walk is great. Getting some fresh air. Anything to keep your body moving and active.

Oh yea .. you should eat more than an apple for breakfast silly! You should have some fiber and protein .... maybe oatmeal and fruits, yogurt parfait, cheerios, scrambled egg whites and whole wheat toast, YUMMY!

Going for a walk sounds like a good idea. Even if I just walk around my house, and the few next to mine. I could do that everyday. Not to mention, there's a gym up at the school I'll be attending. I can probably use that. Plus, walking to my classes will help. Even if I will have a scooter. I'll still have to walk some. Even if it's just short distances, every so often.

Also, I like the smiley/frowny face thing. I'll perhaps do that at the end of the day, as sort of a way to grade how I think my day went.

approx. 12:00 PM:

I added onto my breakfast by having an egg sandwich, and some grapes. It was a delicious edition. Adding fruits to a meal makes me feel better, it would seem. Fruit is definitely a plus here. Not to mention, it's delicious.

i have a journal of my own in this section. it helps to read the feedbacks, they remind you not to give up! i have lost 25 pounds since i started making my journal! btw im going to update it :)

Rest of Wednesday August 05, 2009 & Thursday August 06, 2009 approx. 1:00 AM:

I had an apple, a hotdog on white bread with mustard, a hamburger on an onion roll with avocado, a salad, lemonade, a pint of ice cream... and now I am eating peanuts. To be honest, I don't feel that bad about what I've eaten today. I've incorporated a lot more fruit into my diet than I ever have. I feel really good.

I know how hard eating healthy is and great job with adding fruit and yes it is sure yummy

It is terribly hard to eat healthy! I think having this journal is helping, though. It's forcing me to eat at least one healthy thing with my meals.

Thursday August 06, 2009: approx 1:30 PM:

Two Nathan's hotdogs on white bread, nothing on them, Grippo's BBQ chips, a pop and an apple. At least there's an apple there. *shrugs* I don't drink pop all that often, but once a week, at the very minimum. Perhaps twice a week, if it's vacation week. Regardless, I don't drink it that much. I don't like it very well.

I no u love hot dogs and such why don't u try whole wheat buns i no some taste really bad but there is some out there that don't taste so bad. Just a thought really nothing tastes as good as white bread..

But when ur allergic like me u have to do with whole wheat which sucks

I also have Cravings for pop and found that Coke Zero tastes pretty good clear pops are also better for ya

Rest of Thursday August 06, 2009:

I went to my boyfriend's house for dinner. They had ribs, squash and baked potatoes. That was good; I was glad I joined them. Then we went out to go to the movies, and we had a bunch of junk food. I can't even remember what it all was. And some blueberries. Those were delicious. Mixed with the junk food, the blueberries were a good addition. Hooray for fruit.

Friday August 07, 2009:

I haven't eaten anything yet today. It's about 12:30 at the moment. I might eat soon.
