Default acid reflex-any advice PLEASE!!

i have gird, its like acid reflex. its where my body is making too much stomach acid and i the ring that connects ur esophagus to ur stomach is larger then it should be and it doesnt clsoe all the way. and when i eat, no matter wat i eat, it get severe heart burn from the acid coming up my esophagus. over the past few yrs, some of the acid has gone into my lungs and caused me to have asthema. i used take prilosec to help, it would close the ring so not as much acid would come up as much. i also have to 2 athema inhalers, a broncial one every morning and a steriod inhaler after i eat over ways ill spend an hr coughing up stomach acid out of my lungs and go into an asthema attack. but now, i cant afford my medicine, prilosec or the inhalers. and bc ive been tkaing prilosec since i was 10 yrs old, nothing else works for me, ive tried all the cheaper and different brands, including generic and true brand names, but they dont work. theyll take away the burning, but ill still have a coughing fit and an asthema attack.
i used to be on welfare healthercare, and they covered both inhalers and prilosec. but now that im off it, and havent been on it in 2 yrs, (i was buying prilosec myself and was jsut going without the inhalres) well now, i cant afford prilosec, havent been able too since janurary. and now i cant do anything. i have severe fatigue and low energy, icant do walk anywhere or do anything. my asthema has been so messed up. i used to be able to stand a small bit of secondhand smoke from my mom but not anymore. when i bend over i feel a huge pain like i was just hit with a baseball bat in my back right be hind my lungs and i cant breath. jsut sitting here now at my moms computer, im having chest pains, particulary in my boobs. i cant lift my arms too high above my head without feeling pains. i used to hodl them up for a few minutes b4 they would hurt, but now i cant do it at all. i cant walk too far bc of the asthema. the pools opening up next week and i cant take my brother bc the smell of chloraine upsets my breathing and my chest tightens. im gettign headaches from it (i asked my doctor about ti a few yrs ago and she said it was normal, cant remember y). i had to change my soap and shampoo to the cheper generic barnds bc the smell isnt as strong. i cant use perfume and im constantly yawning. im having hiccups all the time, and they hurt so much but i cant hold my breath to get rid of them bc then it hurts worse.
does anyone have any advice on wat i can do! i dont no watto do! it used to be certain foods that set all this fof, now its all of them and im too tired for exorcise. im waking up in the middle of the night bc i cant breath. when i was younger i used to hold my breath when i would sleep and wake up struggling to breaht and light headed, and i think im doing that now. grrrrrrrrrrrrr i hate this! y cant my body just qwork right?!?!?!?!

All I can say is get the generic prilosec, take one or two a day, or go to the doctor and get some samples of nexium or kapidex. No caffiene. No spicy foods. No chocolate. No acidic fruits such as oranges, or anything acidic. Don't smoke tobacco (kinda hard, I omit that). Definetly don't drink alcohol. Hope some of this has helped you out. I got gastinitis or something my stomach acid tries to eat my stomach, had ulcers and shit.

ive been trying to stay away from greasy foods and spciy foods and everything like that. but no matter wat i eat i still get it. im going bk to eating five small meals a day instead of eating 3 normal size meals a day. that helped me in the past. ive tried generic prilosec, but it doesnt work for some reason. or well it does work, just not as good. it does wat everything else besides prilosec does, takes away the heartburn and the pain but my asthema is still majorly affected by the acid.

I have the same problems of asthma and gastric reflux, you really need the medications and not taking the asthma ones will really affect your fatigue, I know the health systems are very different over there, can you ask the dr for some samples?
I have stopped eating a big meal in the evening and just have soup or light salad and that has made a big difference to the reflux and the nightime coughing. so maybe you could eat very light in the evenings and if overweight losing weight will help.
Garlic is good for asthma and steam inhalations.

steam sends me into a coughing fit for some reason, idk y.
ill try to eat more gralic though, ty. i ate smaller meals yesteray and i felt better. i had one piece of french toast and bacon for breakfast, then a banana a few hrs later, then a sandwhich, then some grapes, then a small salad for dinner. and i did feel better. plus im eating earlier.
for the both of u, here is something that does hepl at night. get bricks and raise the head of ur bed about 2 or 3 or4 inches. it does help. i used to wake up with heartburn at night and i havent since i used the bricks.

I have this too. It's horrible.

This is what I find helps me. It might not help you but maybe there's something you can try?

Gaviscon tablets, I take double action.
Any strong mints. I don't know why but they do seem to help.
Food that makes it worse for me - tomatoes, mayonnaise, vinegar, pickle, spicy chicken, any spicy food, curry. I also can't drink coffee and my tea needs to be pretty milky.
Meat can be quite heavy in my stomach and cause problems, ham is better for me than lamb, pork etc.
Chocolate unfortunately doesn't work for me either but I can eat it in small amounts and now small amounts cheer me up like eating a whole chocolate bar used to.
I'm also on medication for it. You can get zantac tablets over the counter or your doctor can put you on stronger stuff. Some of the medication I tried made it worse so I stopped taking it and the doctor found me something else.
Small meals definitely I agree with, I have 4 small meals a day and it works much better for me than 3 meals. I'm Size 6-8 so it's not making me fat.
Maybe this is just me but lying on my right side causes me a lot more pain and reflux than lying on my left side.

When i feel really bad I eat pasta, plain yoghurt, weetabix, very plain foods like that. Hot milk helps too.

I also have breathing problems sometimes, maybe there is some connection as my breathing problems and reflux problems started at a similar sort of time.

I hope this helps a little bit!
