I'm not sure how else to phrase this, but I've had health issues and things due to my very bad diet. In an attempt to correct that I've stopped eating meat. I don't have much more to say on this one!

Hi,
How are you finding it being a vegetarian? I found it pretty easy to cut out meat but my sister failed after a week

Hiya- thanks for the reply. Yeah, it's actually going really well- I hardly miss meat, and I don't crave the taste either. I'm in the UK, and we have a big "sandwich culture" here- especially at lunchtime- and most are meat based, so that IS something I need to face up to giving up!

But taste/healthwise, I'm feeling fine.

I became a vegetarian over 3 years ago and I've never gone back to eating meat. Its helped me to feel better. The only thing I can say is that I still eat a lot of sweets and junk food. So you can be a "junk food vegetarian". I am trying to move toward just eating real food- eating as little processed food as possible. It just takes planning your meals. As far as eating out- it means you have fewer choices, but usually you do have at least one choice. If there is no vegetarian choice I think its ok to eat meat or not eat at all until later.

Totally agree with this. I became a junk food vegetarian, something I'm trying to rectify by looking up new recipes and trying new foods. Previously my meals where pasta and cheese based. I don't really like bread so don't have sandwiches very often, have you tried a ploughmans? They can be nice and filling.
