Question I'm eating pretty well

I've been taking in around 900 cals a day, which is amazing for me.

My problem is I'm starting to get an upset stomach after/while eating.
It seems the more I try to eat I feel like crap..
I know it's good for me to be eating more, I've just recently gotten out of an inpatient recovery center, where things were very strict. I was eating more than I do now while in the center. Now that I'm home I cut down a little, but I'm still doing good...

I can't help but feel like food is hurting me? My stomach is aching...
(I'm not making myself sick, either.)
Does this happen normally while recovering?

im very glad to know ur making some progress with the food intake.

and like everything else it takes a little bit of time to gradually adjust to new changes.. try to eat simple food that is not too heavy on ur stomach to digest, things that doesnt have much spices ,fried things. also try to limit ur intake of red meat that also is hard on the stomach to digest, if you love red meat then introduce it to ur body gradually until it adjusts to it. steamed food, try cereals, mash potatotes, veggies, soups,chicken,jello...(things that were more or less the menu in the hospital)

also try eating smaller portions, and brake it down in to more than 3 times a day. i think that will reduce the bloating and the upset stomach feeling.
i personally deal with an upset stomach as well, and what it seems to work best for me is jello, antiacid, maalox total relief Maalox® | It's a Relief to Enjoy Life it seems to do the trick!!

hope it helps!!

if ur stomach is still upset after a couple of weeks, i would recomend to consult a nutricionist. they might give you a better insight about it.

Thanks so much, Strawberry. It's not bugging me as much now. I do feel sick after drinking like, Orange juice, but I guess that's just because of the acid.

Much love

It's great that you are fighting to keep trying. I know that it is hard. Part of the feeling sick could be the way that you look at food. If you see it as bad for you, then it will tend to mess with your head. Just keep trying to take in small amounts many times a day and see if that helps at all. Good job!!
