Default re eating disorders

Hope you don't mind me answering on your thread being a newbe?
I have had problems with my weight. I found that the eating was linked to my state of mind.
I could go days without eating anything; then i would eat so much i would throw up.
My weight got to 26 stone 165kg.
I was able to control my eating through meditation. It was tough at first but i found that
as time went by my eating patterns began to stable a bit. i am now 20 stone 127kg and my weight is dropping. I would suggest meditation. There are loads of different types.
I hope things have improved for you.
And hope you don't mind me giving you some advice.

Thanks for replying. I don't like medication as a rule. I'm doing everything natural. Atm, I'm noticing I'm losing some weight, so it's wait and see. Unlike normal people who lose weight, I don't and can't bring myself to weigh myself, so I'm looking at clothes getting too big, disappearing double chin (already nearly gone), and basically how I feel physically. I do still comfort eat, but it's now healthy food... Which is all I'm trying to buy... Idk maybe it'll will do.

Phil wasn't suggesting medication, but meditation.... Which is natural and good for you, too. But it already sounds like you're doing really well.

sorry you are struggling. admitting it is a big step. i was bulimic for nearly twelve years (still struggle, but not as bad)...If I reach a certain weight (as I sometimes do) I freak out. on one hand I know the need to weigh less is an eating disorder, but I can't quite bring myself to accept it.

The eating disorder part is the habits one has in regards to eating and body image. Such that anorexics would deny themselves food, or feel terrible for eating to become skinny. It's a bit different from wanting to lose weight. The healthy way is the better way.
