Default I feel like the deck is stacked against me

So i discovered today that I am 192.5 pounds and on the verge of becoming skinny fat, if I'm not already. This is concerning for me as i have always been skinny, and I am now worried about all of the health problems associated with being fat. Now, I wish I could change my diet, but I can't since I am a super-taster and can't stand the tastes of healthy foods, so my only hope is to offset it by getting more exercise. It's just frustrating because I wish I could eat healthier, but because of my taste buds, I can't.

We taste best what we taste most. You like the junk food because you've become used to it. Try giving up one thing and replace it with something less harmful. I've found after I've eliminated the junk for a while, I don't like it anymore. Comfort foods are comfortable because they trigger feel good responses in the brain. Try to find activities that give you good feelings and you might find replacing your diet is a lot easier.

Absolutely, if you eat healthier you will feel better and those comfortable things won't be needed. The only hard part is the transition. Quitting anything that stimulates habitual responses is hard. They are basically addictions. But once you get away from them, they won't own you anymore.

sounds accurate. IMO the easiest times to change your diet is when you get sick or your appetite is low. Probably applies to addictions too - that's how an acquaintance of mine quit smoking. I had a huge opportunity years ago when I went through surgery. Junk food and soda didn't taste good for months, but I kept eating it and eventually fell back into my habits.
