I don't know if I'm the best suited to give advice since my goal everyday is to avoid food, but occasionally the temptation that rises from hunger will make me uncontrollably binge (well, more like overeat). To resist these cravings, I suck on ice cubes. I also use this to resist purging. Also, I do remember once when I was younger, and still going through my eating problems, I knew I was gonna binge. So I prepared an emetic with hot sauce, mustard, and salt in water making it into a tea of sorts. So when I began my binge, I started with that, and the nausea prevented me from eating further, so I didn't binge nor did I purge.
