Default Getting fat...

I don't really hate my body, I'm averagely-good looking but I do have one problem... I'm just so skinny... and feeling depressed just doesn't help, I don't have the strength to prepare meals or go to the market when lacking food. Sometimes I'm starving and I just think "I really don't feel like getting up right now".

I'm 1.80m and just 53kilos male. it sucks even more now in the summer, going to the beach and all that... I just know everyone looks at me because I'm extremely skinny, and everyday I hear "wow you are so skinny"....

Anyone has some tips on easy foods to prepare with lots of calories? No more than couple of minutes and stuff like that I can it throughout the day?

maybe u should get someof those shakes and drinks for like protien and such. like V-8. they have htis one i LOVE! V-8 fushion, it tastes like fruit juice. and maybe some of like graham crackers and fruit bars, somethin gu can keep on the table next tour bed or something. and maybe stock ur fridge with fruit, like apples and grapes, things u dont have to cu tup or make, just pull out and eat.
when i was going threw deporession, and even now, i had troubel eating. i owuld go a day or two without eating. id have to force myself to eat, but i physically wasnt hungry so even after a few bites i would feel 100% full and feel sick. i no its hard, but u have to eat. find ur comfort foods and go from there. my comfort foods r grapes, cheddar and cour cream chips, chocolte peanut butter cup ice cream, orange juice, canned peaches, mountain dew, hot chocolate, and peanut butter and jelly. most ppl think comfort foods r all sweets and junk food, but they can be anything.
once u start eating regualrly, even if u have to force urself to eat, ull get on a good schedule. trying eating small meals 4 or 5 times a day instead of big meals. itll become a habit for u to eat on a schedule if u eat at the sme times everyday.

protein shakes are fantastic for this.

I've had a few guy friends who are naturally very skinny bulk up just by eating as often as possible...even burgers and fast foods...but try to pick the healthier options with large servings of meat/cheese etc. They also work out a lot which helps with bulk...it's quite surprising to one of them at the moment...he's asian and naturally very thin but right now he's bulked up quite considerably! I know one of them eats steak for breakfast...lol

unfortunately there's no quick fix, you'll have to work at it and put time and effort in in order to get to where you want to be! :) good luck with it~!

I agree on the protein shakes. That and do more body building excercises, pushups, free weights, etc. The key is to do it regularly.

In any case, I take it your still rather young, i.e. early 20's or late teens? If so, I used to be very thin until about 23 or so. At that point I started to fill out, and now I have the opposite problem :).

Thanks all for the responses and consensus. Yes I'm in my early early teens.

Are those the same body builders take?
Where does one usually get those protein shakes? Pharmacies? Or just super markets? I took a look in a normal sized market today but didn't see any of the sort.

Before I started bodybuilding 3 years ago I was 51kg. I was in the same boat as you - I hated eating. If you want meals with higher calories put healthy fats on everything (such as olive oil) they contain 9 calories per gram unlike protein and carbs which are only at 4 calories per gram. When I first started bodybuilding I'd make I huge milkshake in the morning containing: eggs, olive oil, oats, milk, peanut butter, ect. I'd divide it into three meals for throughout the day. You're best option is to blend everything (things like milk, oats and honey).

I was in the blues then, during and presently. As for company, I had/have none. The motivating force for me was: I was always picked on during my school years for being EXTREMELY skinny, and it was that "I'll show you" attitude that got me to the gym everyday. The funny thing is, I always thought being muscular with low bodyfat would always make me happy and show that I'm not the "loser" I was in school but I'm no happier now than I was then. I'm telling you this because you sound like you want to gain weight for others, not yourself. Do what makes you happy and don't listen to others negative comments.
