Default Gaining weight

I am gaining way to much weight. I don't get it. It has been recent. Over the last 2 months I have gained 15lbs. I don'y know why, but it is driving me insane. I am trying not to do the things that I have done in the past though. I would either throw it back up or stop eating. What do I do?

I'm not sure it's happened to me too and I'm generally in really good shape. I gained 20 pounds in about 3 weeks in the last weeks of my old job (September)- it just happened! I also was getting into a deep depression.

I have a binge eating problem that pops up when I'm miserable. I also lose it really quick but it seems to take time for me to get in that mode. It pisses me off as I have really good clothes for when I'm my normal weight but don't for being 20 pounds heavier (#$%$#)

Have you talked to your doc about it? For me there's an underlying problem but when I get in that gain mode my body goes right with it. Will power alone doesn't seem to help.

*Sorry* I don't have anything better for you.

Pete

hey iris, is it cold where you are too? the body naturally gains weight for the winter so that might be partially to blame. also depression often adds to that. maybe keep a food journal? sometimes it helps to track it for a week or two and then look back at it and see where your problem areas are, maybe you snack more late at night (like i do) and if you know you're better prepared to keep an eye on it
