Also, what I meant is that if you are keep going back and forth with the weight then maybe you are either trying too much too fast. Or you need to deal with those issues that make you want to emotionally eat after getting depressed. For me, I thought that if I was bigger people wouldn't get close to me, so I wouldn't get hurt. It took me a while to figure this out. A journal helps just writing down the kind of things that are going through your head while you overeat.
