Default Odd dream

Last night I had a weird dreams.
Last night I kept getting bit by an animal that had a venoms bite and no one would help help me and I would scream in pain and people would just watch. It kept coming after me after I got it off me and I wasn't safe.
I didn't die but was just in so much pain I wanted to.
I don't know what animal it was but a deadly one at that.

Anyone know why or what this means?

Dreams don't usually have as much hidden meaning as most people think. Often we dream about things we've been thinking about, but a lot of the time it's just random images and situations that our brain conjures up while we're sleeping. The other night I dreamt I was friends with Patrick Bateman from American Psycho and he wanted to kill me. I can probably chalk that up to me talking about the movie with someone online a couple days earlier. In all likelihood your dream was just a nightmare. A pretty bad one it sounds like, but nothing to worry about now that you're awake .

Having said that, if there's something you've been thinking about, or there's something bothering you, it can often manifest in your dreams. When that happens, though, the meaning is usually pretty obvious. For example, if you have an important presentation coming up that you're nervous about, you may have nightmares involving public speaking. If you have a nightmare and you can't easily trace the meaning to anything in the real world, it likely has no meaning. Sometimes we just have nightmares for no reason

If you're having frequent nightmares, there are several possibilities as to what's causing them. Depression and negative emotions are obvious influences, stress, irregular sleep or sleep disruption, some medications. For example, I used to be on a fairly high dose of an anti-depressant back when my depression was a lot worse. I used to take it before I went to bed, but sometimes I forgot to. When I forgot, I often had restless sleep and weird nightmares. Part of the reason I lowered the dose. If the nightmares are frequent enough that they're really bothering you, it's recommended that you talk to a doctor or someone like that. Sometimes they can help you get to the root of it.

(I'm a psych student and I've studied a little bit about dreams. I'm far from being an expert, but I thought I might be of some use )

Thank you again Fletch, it is a big help.
Well I have been thinking about things alot, and sometimes I do have thoughts of not being here so maybe that could be it but not to sure.
I often have them but do have a break now and then.If I do have another one I will talk to someone about it because I do hate them. There have been somany other ones as well and I know the root problem of them but I can not do anything about them sadly.

Its helped alot so thank you again :)

Does anyone ever dream about losing the one they love very much?
I had that dream the other night. It was horrible because I have had them alot and before then I didn't have them for a least 2 months but then I had that dream again the other night.
It was that I lost him to this person we know (always the same) I was helping out with doing a video and then I asked do you like her and then it went down hill from there.
I F**king hate those dreams, I hate them so much and I wake up almost in tears and can't get back to sleep.
Anyone else have these dreams?
