Default Couldn't sleep

Here I sit at five in the morning,....I didn't go to sleep till twelve-thirty last night and I had to be up at five am for work. I have been up since four...
I had an anxiey attack,..it woke me up,..now I just feel like crap. I just don't know what is going on with me. I'm feeling depressed,..and I'm not sure why. I'm tired and wide awake at the same time,..I have been through this before....I had such a great week last week,..and now this?????.....I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed with life right now,....I hope this passes quickly and doesn't linger,.......I just cannot keep going through this,......I have done everything possible to alleviate this,..and obviously it still returns......
Well,...I must get ready for work,...it will probably take my mind off everything. I have a very long day today. Ten hours.

Jupiter, I too had one of those nights too. I went to bed at about 3:00am & got in only a couple of hours. I'm sorry to hear that you were unable to sleep. Our minds get so restless with everything going on, too bad that there's not a switch to shut it off. :D I hope you're having a good day, but yet, it went quickly for you, so you can try to get some sleep today/tonight dear.

Default going thru the same

Hey guys- I lay in bed awake for hours and look at the clock pretty much every hour. I finally doze off around 5:30 am (luckily not working right now or I would be having to get up for work!) and when I do fall asleep- I have the most horrific nightmares! I hate it- It's been like this for three weeks- I'm read to ask my doc for some presrip sleep meds. Melatonin usually works but isn't anymore.

i have insomnia almost every night. i know how much it can suck. the one thing that i have fond that can help meis



Progressive Relaxation
This exercise is most effective when you tape record the instructions in advance, preferably in your own voice. This way you don't have to concentrate on remembering the instructions.

We'll give you the instructions here. You tape record them, with a short pause after each sentence to allow yourself time to actually do the sensing and relaxing.

Lie on your back, close your eyes, and begin to listen to the tape.


Feel your feet. Feel the weight of your feet. Feel your feet relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your lower legs. Feel the weight of your lower legs. Feel your lower legs relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your knees. Feel the weight of your knees. Feel your knees relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your upper legs. Feel the weight of your upper legs. Feel your upper legs relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your hands. Feel the weight of your hands. Feel your hands relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your lower arms. Feel the weight of your lower arms. Feel your lower arms relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your elbows. Feel the weight of your elbows. Feel your elbows relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your upper arms. Feel the weight of your upper arms. Feel your upper arms relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your buttocks. Feel the weight of your buttocks. Feel your buttocks relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your back. Feel the weight of your back. Feel your back relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your pelvic and belly area. Feel the weight of your pelvic and belly area. Feel your pelvic and belly area relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your chest. Feel the weight of your chest. Feel your chest relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your shoulders. Feel the weight of your shoulders. Feel your shoulders relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your neck, both front and back. Feel the weight of your neck. Feel your neck relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your skull. Feel the weight of your skull. Feel your skull relax and sink into the bed.
Feel your mouth. Feel any tension in your mouth. Feel your mouth relax and any tension slide off into the bed.
Feel your eyes. Feel any tension in your eyes. Feel your eyes relax and any tension slide off into the bed.
Feel your entire face. Feel any tension in your face. Feel your face relax and let any tension slide off into the bed.
Mentally scan your body. If you find any place that's still tense, relax it and let it sink into the bed

This is great advice,...but I wouldn't be able to sit still long enough to do this,......It would be too hard for me,...It sounds so relaxing though,..and I wish I could do it,.....But right now,..I'm not in a good place in my head,....I'm not feeling real well,...but I am trying,....

Jupiter, what's wrong dear? If you need to talk, I'll lend you my ear, it's going to have to be the right one though, left has been plugged. Hey, have you tried those CD's of things that calm you? I did it a long time ago, man, I fell asleep way too fast, but the next morning, man I was refreshed! I think I passed out at 6pm at night & woke up at 12pm the next day! Good thing I had the day off, that wouldn't have been to "relaxing" to explain why I'm 5 hours late for work!

Just having some anxiety,..and not feeling real well,...I'm getting depressed again,...just when I thought I was over the worst of it,....It keeps coming back,...and sometimes I can't seem to protect myself,..I don't know what else to do. Work is becoming increasingly stressful, and there is nothing I can do about it. I am so tired right now, but still can't even think of sleeping,.......

I'm not sure,...I really thought I was doing good for a while,...I was even thinking that I was felling better than I have in almost a year,...then it just hits me,..out of nowhere,....
I just came back from vacation,....I visited my best friend,..she had moved completely across the country,....I had such a good time. I hadn't laughed that much since she left over two years ago.....Now I'm back here,....I live alone,....I just broke up with someone,.......I am totally alone,..again........I am always alone,...I know,...it's my choice,....but ,...I don't like being alone all the time,....I am just very sad right now.,..and work is stressing the hell out of me,..big time,......I can't go through this again,..I just can't.......

Dear, you know that you're never alone here, we love you! I too always feel alone, even though I know I'm not. It would be nice to have a place of my own, with just my daughter & my 2 dogs that I love. Maybe it's just a good time to try to relax & unwind. You did mention that you went on vacation, then come back to a 10 hr work day, that's hard dear.
