You're right of course GJ women complaining of menstrual problems and feeling uptight just before are prescribed tailored pharmeceutical treatments just for that time of the month which are SSRI's. It's a political view which I hold also. Women are more likely than men to go to a GP. They are more likely to disclose on an emotional level what their situation is. GP's are more likely to prescribe anti-depressants to women because of these two factors. Men suffer because of this and women are overrepresented as a result.
