Road to Perdition is another sad one. The Green Mile is very sad, but doesn't really "get" to me.

One that hasn't been brought up yet is "Born on the Fourth of July". Great, great movie. I'm not a paraplegic, but the scene when Ronnie (Tom Cruise) comes home drunk is very heart breaking (except when he starts yelling "Penis!!" that's kinda funny :) ). The part where his dad, in a voice filled with hopelessness, says "What can I do?" gets to me. I can still hear my dad asking the same thing.

Away from her a Sarah Polley film is terribly sad. And any movie with Vince Vaughan or Ben Stiller leave me sad. Those two truly suck.

Legends of the fall

I loved the film, but felt depressed for weeks after.

And then watched it again-I'm a sucker for punishment lol!
