Not a movie, but the actor Paul Giamatti can always get to me. He plays the depressed loser better than anyone in Hollywood. I can always see myself in his roles.

If you want to see my mindself when I'm depressed, go watch "American Splendor" and "Sideways".

I'm Harvey (American Splendor) on my good days.
Miles (Sideways) on my bad.

Titanic (an obvious one-its impossible to not cry while watching)

Atonment

One flew over the cuckoos nest, i cried, it was a strange happy-sad type of cry if thats possible.Theres hope and theres tradgedy all mixed up.

Control (the Ian Curtis biopic) which left me in a trance like mood, just thinking and completely dazed by the horror of it all.

- Pumpkinhead: Blood Wings- I have a birth defect, so the beginning was really depressing

- Pay It Forward- that ending was definitely sad

- Edward Scissorshands- it was sad when he accidentally cut the boy's face and everyone just turned on him

- My Girl- I wasn't expecting that ending at all

- The Jacksons: An American Dream- I hate child abuse

- Last House on the Left (Original)- I haven't seen it, but what happened to the girls was messed up

When you actually understand what it's about, Mulholland Drive is one of the saddest films I've ever seen. I second Grave Of The Fireflies too. I tried watching it a second time and turned it off after 20 minutes because I couldn't watch it knowing what was going to happen.

Eve's Bayou always makes me feel a bit sad. I'm a sucker for dysfunctional families.
