Default Saddest movies...

I LOVE sad movies...at the same time i hate them...but i prefer movies to be EXTREMELY depressing...no happy endings at all...

i say, lets post a list of the saddest movies we've ever seen...here are mine..

The plague dogs
Grave of the fireflies
Hachiko monogatari
Harry potter(hard to explain WHY this is sad...you'll have to see for yourself and be a huge snape fan to understand why it's sad...)
Titanic (typical of me to put this here)
Death sentence(havent actually seen it...but i know what its about..)
Cat soup(This is only sad if you really understand it.)

and there was this..REALLY good movie our teacher showed to the class about a kid who wanted to change the world..he even set his mother up with his teacher, which they both had problems..especially the teacher, who got burned by his moms bf or husband or something like that...etc etc..then the kid got stabbed at the very end...
if anyone can tell me what movie this is..please do..

i cant think of any other movies atm, but there are SOOO many more.

I saw 'atonement'. It was pretty painful to watch.

Grave of the Fireflies is almost unbearable for me. In general, I don't like sad movies...but here are a few that I have seen.

Patch Adams
Titanic
Angela's Ashes
A Walk to Remember
Socrates in Love/ Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World
Where the Red Fern Grows
Of Mice and Men
City of Angels
Stepmom
Schindler's List
Brokeback Mountain & Cold Mountain are both kinda sad...
Les Miserables
Steel Magnolias
Terms of Endearment
Doctor Zhivago
Mask
The Champ
Watership Down
Old Yeller
The Plague Dogs

I hate animal deaths almost more than human ones in movies.

hmm what about the newer (i say newer but its a few years old) romeo and juliet with leo di'caprio in?
I also saw Atonement last year and was on the verge of tears in media class
The Green Mile
The Fox and the Hound
I dont know if we could say The Departed is a sad film? the ending left me quite stunned though
