It says I can't watch it in the USA. Something about copyright.

Carlos Kleiber was a legendary figure in classical music, hardly anybody would dispute that he was one of the greatest classical musicians in the 20th century.
Yes,that guy lives music, and what he gets out and demands from the orchestra is unbelievable,he was extremely tough and difficult,a real "primadonna".
Here is the whole story of this truly extraordinary man,who refused to be commercialized despite his standing: Carlos Kleiber - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

All the music you've posted is beautiful. I love the way Kleiber conducts.

Default Schumann

Robert Schumann, who ended his life in an asylum and struggled with mental illness for many years, composed some of the most heartbreaking songs of all times.
Below is the translated text of Opus 35/11 by Justinus Kerner:

Schumann op 35 no 11, Wer machte dich so krank; Dietrich Fischer Dieskau, bariton - YouTube

That you are so ill -
who has then caused this?
No cool breath from the North,
and no starry night.

No shadow under the trees,
no heat from sunbeams,
no slumber and no dream
in the blossom bed of the valley.

That I bear fatal wounds,
this is the deed of men:
Nature would let me be well,
but they do not let me rest.

Default a true tragedy

Josef Hassid ( 1923 -1950 ) was probably the greatest violinistic talent ever.
All that is left by him are a few test pressings for EMI when he was 16 years old.
He developed a mental condition ( schizophrenia ) and had to stop playing when he was 18 years old.
The intensity of his playing is astounding. The end of this clip is one of the most amazing things I have ever heard....

Hassid was amazing, to put it lightly, and Schumann is one of my favorite composers. This is all great music, keep 'em coming!
