Default the saddest song I've ever heard

is "Worn Out" or maybe it's called "Broken" by travellers william. I can't find it online. I have it on my iTunes from the late lamented mp3.com before commercial interests took it over o so many years ago. I think you can find it there. I wish I could post it. It's just a heavy tramping beat, some background instrumentation and a woman singing in minor key,

I'm broken
I'm worn out
I'm slipping

I am broken
I'm worn out...

Best damn song about true deep depression I've ever heard. I've seen them on iTunes so I think if you really searched you could probably find it, I'm just too tired to do it right now.

And then there's this one:

Stellamara - Del Mar Rojo - YouTube A dirge. Also if you really want to wallow:

Dead Can Dance - Persophone (The Gathering of Flowers) - YouTube

As for movies... Dead Man. One of the eeriest, saddest and most beautiful movies I've ever seen. If you really want to despise the fallen world...

Default Sad songs

Or if bluegrass is more your style...

Gillian Welch - One Morning - YouTube

Gillian Welch - Whiskey Girl - YouTube

or 80s pre-goth

The Smiths - Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want ( 1984 ) - YouTube

The Cure - If Only Tonight We Could Sleep (Trilogy) - YouTube

I have so many sad songs on my iPod.

And a hard time going to sleep tonight, which is why I'm posting here now.

music i can listen to, and think.. yeah okay, i know exactly how that feels.

some slow stuff though- i want something along the lines of torie amos or hannah fury

but also some gothic metal wouldn't go a miss either, i'm talking like within temptation, and sorinia- but i more want slow stuff right now

talking of slow stuff:

jewel- foolish games

i just discovered that 1 myself

I would actually recommend some Bethlehem if you dont mind some metal, they call them selves "dark metal" although I dont think thats enough to define a genre.

To me they feel like the perfect thing to play in a huge gothic cathedral whilst contemplating suicide, there second album is actually dedicated to suicide victims

Bethlehem - Tagebuch Einer Totgeburt - YouTube

this is such a beautiful song, the end is the best, so sad and so beautiful, if I were to die it would be whilst this song is playing.
