Anyone know any interesting Psychology books I could look into?

I recently read "Man's Search For Meaning" by Viktor Frankl, which I'd highly recommend to anyone. And I'm about to start reading some Karen Horney books (mainly because I'm really curious/interested in her opinions on the subject of neurosis, even though that's not as much of a common Psychological subject anymore since it was removed from the DSM).

But, any good Psychology books would work for me, really. (Since I find it such a fascinating subject!)

I bought "The Uncanny" by Sigmund Freud years ago when i went to Vienna and visited his house which is now a museum. This book is fascinating, it explores the childhood memories that often screen uncomfortable desires, links between literature and daydreaming and the intense feelings we think of as "uncanny". It delves into the roots of artistic expression and the triangular family romance of mother, father and infant that dominate our early life.

The book also includes Freud's first essay in psychoanalysis on Leonardo Da Vinci. Regardless of whether you're interested in Freud or psychoanalysis this book is incredibly easy and absorbing to read.

I found "Man's Search For Meaning" to be a bit dark. I do admire Viktor Frankl's ability to come out of the Holocaust and take some meaning from the experience.

The ones I've read recently are "Cognitive Therapy of Depression" by Beck, et al,
"Feel the way you want to feel..." by Aldo Pucci, and "Feeling Good" by Burns. Not much in the way of intellectual stimulation, but some rather prosaic practical stuff.

"A Guide to Rational Living" by Ellis and Harper is what I'm reading now. I also bought something about NLP just to see what that's about.

To someone wanting a quick self-help read, I recommend Pucci's book, especially the first few chapters.
