I'm in the middle of reading a book simply called "cutting" its about self injury. I'm borrowing it from my school's counsler. So far it realy doesn't describe me. It says that cutters often don't remember cutting themselves and can't tell real from fake. I can tell real from fake and I remember clearly when I cut. It also says that people who cut are cut because they were abused in one way or another but I was never abused in any way shape or form. I'm onl on the third chapter of the book so maby it'll describe the reasons why I cut. Its a good book.......its just not helping me at all.

maybe you should write a "real" book about cutting - sounds like you have some great expertise that others could benefit from.

yeah im the same as you.... i remember cutting... a bit blurred from overwheliming emotion but its not something i forget... and i was never abused as a child... i cut to vent emotions.... i feel they come out in my blood sort of... if all my emotions build up i need to cut to get rid of them... to calm me... you should write a book... definitly... it might help when you feel particularly low... instead of cutting... write about it...???... easyer said the done i know that....
