Grinding my teeth, having a short temper, getting annoyed if something does not happen "right away", tapping my fingers, panic attacks.

Crying uncontrollably, inability to breathe, desperate "run away" feeling, all-over muscle tension...

I get pretty much all of the above on this thread.

Has anyone mentioned the after-effects of panic? I notice some bodily sensations that seem to come after the attacks and last a few weeks.

After a strong panic attack, I'll be affected with sleeplessness, that numb-unreal feeling they call derealization, and muscle twitching.

I also get pains in my fingers. I read once that was anxiety related, but no one seems to get that one but me.

Knowing what it does to you is a good thing; it'll help you not freak out and believe you're sick or crazy.

I get really scared and feel like I am suffocating. This then triggers an asthma attack.

I am wiped out physically afterward and have to take a nap. When I wake up, I am in a funk for a few hours where I can't think.

Usually if I listen to some music I get through.

Stomach cramping, dirreaha, head pounding, higher pulse, sweating...and not a physical side effect, but mentally, a complete and total feeling of hopelessness.

I get this persistent lump in my throat [in fact have it now] research says it's tied to hyperventilating. My other symptoms are not limited to but include avoidance, shaking, head-aches, intrusive thoughts, racing heart, excessive tiredness.

I get the shakes, fidgeting, on occasion breathing difficulty and when it is transitioning to anger all the muscles on my face and neck tighten to the point my head shakes and my eyes roll back.
