I suffer from anxiety and I was prescribed Lexapro months ago...I have long since chucked away the prescription for the drug. One psychologist told me that the drug is really good and situations that scared me wouldn't scare me anymore. This of course sounds like paradise to me but I'm very skeptical when a doctor prescribes a drug because I find it very hard to believe they really care about my welfare...knowing that will forget all about me 2 minutes after I leave their office. I often wonder if it was a family member instead of me, would they still be so nonchalant about their own daughter taking the same drug offered to me.
I wanted to know if anyone has taken Lexapro and has it helped them? Do they regret taking it and if they thought the bad outweighed the good. I'm scared of all the side effects since I find life hard enough to get through as it is.
If you can tell me your personal experience with Lexapro that would be appreciated.
