I was walking on a path by my house earlier, and a man came out of nowhere, grabbed me and pulled out a knife. I punched him in the gut and beat the crap out of him. I may have gone a little overboard, but fuck him he deserved it, and I made sure he was able to leave. I'm a little shaken up, my mind keeps going weird places. I'm a little confused, I keep seeing him killing me and me killing him. Not like hallucinations, but just freaky thoughts. It's weird, and I've had a lot of other shit going on, so this is making things... confusing. Idk, it's weird. This was just a few hours ago btw. I'm not hurt, I got punched in the gut a few times but I'm fine (physically). Idk... I'm just confused.

I recently saw a few people get shot and had a friend and my uncle die. I think my mind is just sort of overloading, idk, I really don't know what I'm confused about. I just feel...weird. It's hard to explain.

Well I broke his knee so I don't think he'll do that again any time soon, plus it's 1:35am, and my mom is going through a lot of emotional problems cuz her brother died, so I don't want her worrying, idk if it's necessary. Also it was pretty dark, but I might be able to describe him, idk, I didn't really look at his face very much, and when I did his nose was broke so there was blood on his face.

Idk, I just keep getting these weird thoughts, mostly flashbacks of the shooting... I guess that kind of triggered me. I just feel confused.

You broke his knee and his nose?

He will have had to visit a hospital then, with your help the cops can get him.

He grabbed me and turned me around and tried to put the knife to my throat but I hit his hand back and pushed him against a tree and pinned his knife arm against it and headbutted his face. Then I threw him down and stomped the side of his knee as hard as I could and it snapped (eww I know).

Tried to just sum it up, I'd rather not go into detail about it.

He's long gone by now, I saw him limp away (I gave him a stick to use as a cane), this was almost 5 hours ago. Should I really call?

Though I know you handled that attack with more skill and finesse then most people in your shoes, you are likely going through shock which would be why you feel weird. Not only are you dealing with a lot on your end already, but this life threatening thing just happened. You don't defend yourself against bad guys like that one every day, so your reaction to it is likely still going to make you feel funny.

He was crying when I helped him up, he was muttering "I'm sorry" and "don't kill me." He thanked me when I gave him the stick (I made sure to give him a light and non-pointy one, not that I thought he was or could use it).

Idk, he had a phone to call an ambulance, and I really doubt he can hurt anyone for a long time (the bone was sticking out). I'm just really reluctant to call the police, they make me nervous, and I know I'll have a panic attack, because I've been having them all day.
