Default Unorganic meat can cause depression?

I have switched to organic meat instead of coventional factory farm meat where animals are given growth hormones, antibiotics, etc. I feel better than before. Though I haven't swtiched milk to organic milk rather I have started to drink calcium enriched drinks.

Do you mind if I dis-ignore your thread?

In reference to your OP, veganism is the second best thing I've ever done in terms of combating depression. And the best thing I've ever done in terms of my physical health. It's interesting just how much of an effect nutrition can have on our mental state. I'm glad to hear you identified something that has made you feel better than you previously did!

Thanks for posting. I've tried organic from time to time. I find this interesting. I'm always worried about the crap were eatting in the North American diet.

I had no idea I was eatting such crap till I started dating men from other countries that were use to eatting Fresh Food. One time I prepared lunch out of a can and my ex-boyfriend asked me if it came from a can. I said yes, he pushed it away from the table. I've spent all my life eatting processed food, canned food. I always wonder how this has affected my health.

I read somewhere for example Canada is one of the richest countries in the world but we eat the worst food? Can you friggin imagine that? The poorest people in the world are eatting better food than we are.

That's right. The difference is I know better now. I had one guy tell me one time it would be good for me to leave Canada and eat Natural food. I think he's right. We have horrible diets here. I'm over 40 years old and I'm just figuring things out now. I've wondered how much I've damaged my body.

About 10 years ago, I had a Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver. This is like Alcoholics get! Why? Because I was eatting crap, junk food. I damaged my liver. Because of this I'm more aware of what I'm eatting. I've slipped back into my old habits but I know better now and from time to time, try to get back into eatting better. Don't want a damaged liver again.

I don't always do organic but it from time to time I do. I think it would be better if I just friggin moved to a place where all the food is natural.

Hey Pyro, did you have a change of heart about your health statements for eating untreated meats and an 'organic' diet? Why ignore the whole basis to the thread now?

Grass fed meats are best. They are much higher in Omega 3, instead of Omega 6 which induces inflammation, and the animals are much more likely to be treated more humanely.

Grass fed tastes much better and is healthier for you!
