Default Are there any natural remedies for depression and anger?

I have been feeling sad this past week. I want to know if there are natural remedies to treat sadness and anger. I have been on different medications without luck. I am hoping if anyone have treated their depression naturally (vitamins, certain foods, etc.). Is that a possible option?

Sensualgirl is right==St.Johns worth is herbal medication that works affectively against depression, anxiety etc...my wife was very into herbal remedies..being from India lots of medicines like Ayurvedic herbals are used as oils, pills etc...another good herb is Valerian or maybe even Passionflower..there have been studies and if one googles St.Johns worth it gives me the impression=side effects, does it work,or not?a friend of me made an oil of St.John worth which was very effective for wounds and skin rash, cuts etc.i used it sometimes.
..i reckon we could try out St.Johns but never in combination with antidepressive medications..I got a good knowledge of herbal medicines and i use herbs sometimes..
a link on St.Johns..

I recently found quite a lot of information by Jurriaan Plesman about nutritional issues underlying a persons mental wellness. What I read talked about nutritional therapy as a way to combat health problems that are getting in the way of mental wellness. I think you may be right about a link from what I've read. It sounds like starting with a nutritional doctor or clinical nutritionist would be a place to begin, as well as being tested through their guidance for hypoglycemia or digestive disorders. I would suggest you look into it for yourself as the information I was reading looked good but beyond reading on it I'm no kind of authority.

You have to be careful with St John's Wort if you are taking other medications. it can cause problems with epilepsy medication, HIV medication, warfarin and the birth control pill. There's probably others but these are the only ones I've heard of. Best to check before you give it a go,

St. John's Wort has a lot of interactions, like elguapo said.

You can't do laser hair removal or any laser while on it, and sun tan as well if I am not mistaken.

Check out nootropics on reddit. 5htp, phenibut, ashwaganda and etc.
