Default Should I take more St John's Wort?

Been taking st johns wort for abot 4 months now and to be honest i don't think it's doing jack to help me.

I don't really want to go to doctor for anti depressants, as i struggle to talk to doctors.

The st johns wort box says take 1 a day. Do you think i should increase the ammount i take daily?

Or if anyone else knows of something alternative i can try, it would be a big help.

Thanks

Thanks Dreamer. Sorry to sound ignorant, but can you tell me what a tincture is?

I don't know that word.

I also took St Johns Wort for about a month, i found it very expensive and i didn't really feel the benefits. One of the herbal remedys that has helped me in the past with insominia and anxiety is cammomile (sic) tea, it doesn't taste very nice but it has really helped me relax in the past.

I agree St. johns never did anything for me. Teas seem to work for what they claim to. Wether it's digestion or relaxation or whatever.

I took it a long time ago in pill form for a few months every day according to the instructions. I believe it was ground up. If it had any effect it was so mild that I didn't notice any change.

Hi, I did not have much success with ST John's , however . that was a long time ago.

I have luck with sleep with 5HTP. For some people Passfora, passion flower has helped. They use it in the alternative cancer clinic in MX where I worked before I got ill.

If you use ST Johns you need to be careful of sun sensitivity.

Take care
