my wife is learning reiki and got me to go see her reiki teacher, i went in with an open mind and after the hour session i actually did feel more relaxed and less stressed than before, so im going to keep going to see what i can learn, she did show me some stuff to help myself, it was quite interesting.

My husband is a Master Reiki Practitioner, and I am a first degree practitioner. I find that giving myself reiki doesn't work very well, although they say it is perfectly acceptable. When my husband does it for me, I swear I can feel the energy pulsating into me from his hands. I have also never used reiki to help depression, but I've been taught that the energy flows where it needs to go, even if you attempt to direct it to a certain area. I am sure it could work quite well. I can probably help when it comes to this subject. I am going to get my second degree attunement soon, and what I don't know now, I can ask my husband. lol

I've had Reiki done before, not for depression specifically, more for stress, and it was so amazingly relaxing. I had so much energy afterwards and I felt great for the next few days. I should have continued with it.
