Hi. I'm a 19 year old college student currently on holiday. I have been suffering from depression for about a month and a half. I became depressed because of a few problems, which have been sorted. However I feel anxious and I find it very difficult to see my friends and hold a good conversation. I used to be the opposite. I have been on 20mg of Citalopram for 4 weeks, and 30mg for 2 weeks.
I have been doing alot of research into curing depression, and my opinion of prescription drugs has changed alot, and I am currently weening off mine. I am taking 4 puraEPA tablets in the morning (EPA is meant to be very useful in treating moods), I am exercising 3 times a week for 45 minutes, I am eating healthily, I have just purchased a light therapy box and spend as much time in the sun as I can and I am going to give meditation a go. There are also other capsules avaliable such as True Hopes Empowerplus, but I'm giving that some thought. I have also heared that 5-htp is meant to be good?
I just wondered whether anybody had any success with these treatments?
