Caffiene is a stimulate so it shouldn't make you more depressed. I always find it relieves the depression somewhat. The anxiety is a negative; some are more sensitive to it than others. However, I've read that it's' not the caffiene that has a negative effect but the chemicals byproducts from the processsing of the coffee that cause that. Try green tea as it's simply dried. I've never noticed any anxiety from green tea. Coffee, yes.
