Red face CBT - Excellent!!!

Hi All

I just wanted to let you know that I am currently going through CBT therapy and it is really working. I can't recommend it enough - spread the word...

I have suffered with depression (inc. anxiety, ocd and all the other stuff that goes with it!!!) for about 22 years. I have been on every anti depressant there is and also been seen by therapists and psychiatrists, some of which were absolutely useless.

My current therapist is very qualified and has worked for a long time doing different therapies. CBT is really working for me and is helping me to rationalise my thoughts and to get control of my depression. All I can say is that please give it a go, and if it doesn't work with one therapist - find another!

i agree, i'm doing it right now and it seems to be helping a lot, whereas other therapists and techniques have not in the past! i hope it keeps up....

First off, congrats that things are getting better for you.

This gives me a lot of hope, I'm hoping to see a psychiatrist fairly soon and I'm hoping therapy can help me.

I've found the CBT helpful too. I think in general, the more tools I learn that help me take an active hand in things, the better I tend to feel.

Glad to hear that things are improving! That in itself is a great feeling. :)
