Default What really irks me.

All lot of the stuff I read here are the troubles of youth. "relationships", school, work.......

I went through all that too, including a bunch of "therapy" from "counselors." Then I reached an age where I just stopped tripping over all that stuff and I thought it would be a good ride from there on out. But life threw me an ailment that doesn't respond well to therapy and isn't going away until death mercifully takes me. No rest for the wicked.

What age did those kinds of worries go away for you? What kinds of symptoms do you experience from your ailment?

I think most teens are very self conscious about things that seem much bigger at the time, I know I was, I think I if you don't enjoy school as well this can make things a million times worse. I think as you get older and you start to realise your not going to live forever then certain things start to seem less important.

I also think that when the real world hits and you see the school hierarchy dissolve, the popular kids mostly amounting to nothing or not really achieving anything it makes it all seem so trivial.

Think it also comes down to being confident in your own skin or at least accepting yourself as you are and not puttting yourself down plus you don't really get taught about how important it is to be positive and surround yourself with positive influences. What kind of things do you worry about or feel anxious about?

Insomnia and apnea. My worries about all the life crap went away in my thirties.

I worry about never again feeling rested because I can't sleep anymore. Despite what "they" say, some things are hopeless. Multiple doctors, lots of money and I am still a zombie.

Fuck this life. Goddamn I'm going to find the courage one way or the other.

did you just stop caring about those things? Is apathy the solution? Or did things change for the better?

do you use a cpap for the apnea, it helped me immensely, I have no experience with insomnia though, but there has to be somethin that works, depression is what kept me awake, worrying and over thinking everything but that's in the past

Life sucks and certainly is hard to sleep when you think of it all. Hope something helps.
