If I think I have a virus (trojan) and it's not being detected by AVG, what do I do? I only have one program that's not working properly, but I was talking to someone last week online who said he had it. So I want to make sure I don't. But he didn't send a file or anything.......???? Maybe I'm just paranoid.

Well tell me what is going wrong an I will be able to asses it better. Make sure to update AVG before you scan.

Okay here we go. Last night i tried to open Itunes and I got this message without Itunes even opening

iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

So I went to Apple and tried to see if a new Itunes was available and one wasnt so I just tried to download it again and I got a message saying my compuiter didnt have Quictime on it but it does. So I went to dowload a new Quicktime and it claimed there was an error and it couldnt download Quicktime.

So then I tried doing a system restore to about 4 months ago and Itunes still wouldnt work. Then I undid that and tried to delete Quicktime and it wouldnt let me And Itunes is just dead :cry: It wont even open

dear proffessor zets..

I HATE MY COMPUTER.... i keeps cutting me off and saying, this page cannot be displayed... (it lies...tut tut)

but anyways thats not what i wanted... if i beg really nicely pretty pretty please with sugar and a cherry on top if you have some spare time on your hands and would like to do me a fave, please could you make me one of those pretty bar things for my signature.. i want one with my name on and sumin that looks pretty and happy... i leave it up to your creativity..

but you will have to post the code thingy so i can just cut and paste it onto my signature, cus i dont understand it all..

would be ever so grateful... tar!

Before you do anything use your software or the freeware provided in the guide to scan your system for viruses and mal/spyware.
Go to start>control panel>add or remove programs
Remove quicktime
Download quicktime and reinstall

@ Silent
I will keep that in mind about the signature.
About your issue please give me more info.

what more infor could i possibly give... sometimes it just goes slow.. then cuts me off and says 'this page cannot be displayed' so to get back on i have to re-type the address in.
its doing the same to other members too so maybe its just the site?

So what you are saying is that it is only TTL? The site's servers are not the most reliable... it is normal to have those problems.

Well what I mean when I say more info is... I want to know who your ISP is... what kind of connection you have what kind of computer you have what Os you have what browser you have and how much ram you have.
