I hate having autism. All it did is make me angry and lose others' trusts. I got into a really bad argument with my husband over various things, and it didn't end well. He also is autistic. All I fucking want is a cure for autism ASAP, so I won't have all these negative feelings anymore. For those who have autism, or know someone with it, is there a contact in Autism Speaks so I can email them about this?

There's no cure. Sorry to say it but it's not the sort of thing that could ever be cured.
I feel your pain

I feel very conflicted here because I am borderline autistic and my youngest son is autistic and dyspraxic. I often feel i wish there was a cure because I think he would have a happier life if he wasn't on the spectrum. But then again if he was cured his personality would change so much he would no longer be the same person. He wouldn't be my darling boy anymore

Unfortunately, I don't agree with this. All I want is to be normal like anybody else. I will be turning 30 next year, and no one wants to be around a 30 y/o baby. I'm sick of this autism shit, and can't do this anymore.
