Default Just told my mum

I just told my mum about my ocd, I burst into tears straight away which probably showed her that I was being serious. Still feeling a bit shakey so won't go on too much more, she understood and said she was glad I told her. She is going to get an appointment now, most likely at another doctors since the one we normally go to is unprofessional.

hi ARTHUR.

well done for telling your mum. I HAVE OCD TOO, had from a young age and its good to cry.

SOME PEOPLE DONT REALISE how debilitating OCD CAN BE - i really hope you can get referred to a good therapist. ITS NOTHINBG TO BE ASHAMED OF there are all sorts of people with OCD as i think you know.

WHEN I WAS younger I REMEMBER WHEN I BIKED TO SCHOOL - SOMETHING IN MY HEAD TOLD ME TO PUSH MY BIKE TO THE BOTTOME OF THE HILL BEFORE I STARTED FOR SCHOOL-COMPLETELY IRRATIONAL = BUT I HAD TO DO IT-i really thought I WAS GOING MAD.

I KNOW ocd untreated is a pain in the backside what with the counting and blahhhhhh but as you know you are not the only one .

Thanks hydii, brandy and venny. Your support means a lot to me. Sorry I didn't get to write much yesterday, was a bit shaken up for the rest of the day. I have written down a list of what I do OCD related which I'm going to take into my appointment next Tuesday. Very nervous about explaining it to the doctor but I just keep on thinking of the help I would be able to get. Honestly it was TTL which helped me pluck up the courage to tell my mum so thank you everyone.
