Alice in Wonderland
So, after all the hype, i went to see the 3d version today. Have to say im really disappointed. Just didnt seem very....magical. By far the best character was the queen of hearts, and gicen Johnny Depp's status he didnt really have that much to do and wasnt in it that much. The girl who played Alice couldn't act, and the whole thing just left me feeling kinda non-plussed. I so wanted this to be really good, but it just isnt. What did you guys think of it?

I feel the same. i saw it yesterday and I was very disappointed. I too thought Johnny Depp had a surprisingly small part and the girl who played Alice couldn't act. But the thing that annoyed me most of all was the plot. It was so very bland and cliche. I found myself wishing it would hurry up and end because it was just nothing new.

I'd still really like to see this movie. I'm thrilled to see a movie directed by Tim Burton. He's one of my favorite actors. I do like Johnny Depp, but fortunately, I'm not entirely seeing it for me; though, I am excited to see how he is as the Mad Hatter. That should be an interesting display at least. He's done so well in so many similar rolls, that I feel like he could master this one pretty well. I don't know what to say about the other actors, because I don't have an opinion/don't know who they are; but, I would like to say that I am looking forward to seeing this movie. Making my own judgement call, if you will, as to how the movie is.

I actually really liked it. I guess that's the way it is with Burton-movies - either you love it or hate it.

Yeah thats true, i mean i loved all his other stuff, i still think that the batman he directed is one of the best films ive ever seen, but i just couldnt get into this one. Still i suppose everyone is allowed one bad movie in their career. Im a big Johnny Depp fan too, me and my gf own all his movies, but with the roles he's been taking recently i just hope he doesnt get typecast as someone who plays crazy off the wall characters. He is such a great actor (just look at Donnie Brasco) and he should be doing that kinda stuff in my opinion. Still its his career lol

I'm not too sure if I want to see this movie.. I mean, I like Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter is AWESOME! and Tim Burton is a good director, but I just think it's going to be an over CGI-ed piece of crap. Granted I like the story, but I don't think it's going to be my kind of movie. But I really want Phantasmagoria to be released.. It's Marilyn Manson's depiction of Lewis Carrol's mental state and how Lewis Carrol was a bit ... Crazy.. when he wrote the story of Alice in Wonderland.

I will see the 3D version tomorrow evening and seeing it's been ages since I set foot in a cinema, I am really looking forward to it. It'll be the first 3D movie I will see so...
Will leave my comments on the movie here, if you'd like!

i wouldve felt the same way, but it mine and my bfs first date and he made it really great haha. but i agree with u on some things, alice was a horrible actor and i was expecting a much more mad and silly character for johnny depp. but that rabit was really funny!
also, they kept making it look like different things. first, it was the orginal story, just tim burtons verison (like wat he did with charlie and the chocolate factory), then it was sort of like the second one. so i didnt no wat to expect.
i thought it was a good movie, not tim burtons best ill admit, but ill still be buying it on dvd when it comes out
