when you see a girl/guy..
Walking down the street, and you pass her/him by.. And you find her/him attractive and would potentially like to get to know her/him better.. What do you do? Do you put your head down and keep walking? Do you look the other way? Do you quickly meet eyes with her/him and then look away? Do you say hi? Do you smile? Do you do something else completely?

Well, I haven't been single since I was 19, but now that I am single again....I usually lock eyes.
I will lock eyes with the woman as we pass by, then say Good morning or whatever, and if she locks eyes with me too and shows interest in replying to me, I will talk to her.
If she averts her eyes, or ignores my greeting, then I don't say anything more

So if you liked me, you would shy away from eye contact and I wouldn't be able to tell if you are smiling or not,
so how would we ever get together???? :P I find this interesting, wonder if this will happen to me. girl likes me, but too shy.

I live in a small town, so admittedly, randomly talking to a stranger is considered really odd and over confrontational here, but even if it weren't, I just tend to... not talk to people. As a matter of fact, if I am attracted to someone, I go to all lengths possible to avoid them in any way.

I thought a small town would be easier, when i moved over the pond and had no job while waiting for my papers, i`d walk the dog first thing in the morning down by the canal, and people would say hello to me. I thought they was all mental at first, but after a week i was doing it myself!.......then they thought i was mental, but it was good anyway. I`d never try it in london.

Well, people do the "Morning!" kind of thing here, but anything beyond that is seen as really intrusive, the "Top of the morning to you!" type thing is just kind of expected here where I live, but communicating with anything other than a nod or "Good mornin'." is unheard of. I still see it as totally alien despite growing up around it my whole life, though. And I think I've only ever seen people who are like, neighbors or such do it, not total strangers. My town could be an oddity, though.
