i guess living my whole life in dc makes me not understand any problem with admitting to your preference

It's great, isn't it? My dad grew up in that church, but converted to my mom's (or MUM's, for vex) church so they could get married there. But I'm going to go to the UCC when I get the chance.

I wish I could come and give you a big hug... You are not alone. I have been where you are now. And it will get better. You will find people in your life who accept you for who you are. You don't know how people will react until you tell them. People's opinions can change too. As Shadow mentioned, if you want you can still be a Christian. Many people who are gay still have their faith. There are many interpretations of the Bible. You can make a post about it in the faith section if you want?
