So I really want to get a tattoo representing my struggle with depression and suicide. I was wondering if anyone had any tattoos about depression or any ideas people had for a tattoo representing their depression? Right now I'm thinking about getting the phrase "No one knows what it's like, behind blue eyes" tattooed somewhere, don't know where yet
That song seems to capture my thoughts on my depression so perfectly, how nobody really sees what's going on on the inside.

Any other ideas/quotes about depression?

I've got a huge anchor on my foot with the chain nailed to my ankle, it's a metaphor for how I've felt so dragged down over the years.
I look at it and remind myself that it'll one day get better! Tattoos are perfect for reminding yourself of positive things.
Make sure you get it right though, I've got 5 tattoos, but don't regret any. Always think about the placement and look of it just to get it right first time! :)

I just got an artist to start making my design

I'm getting the phrase "No one sees the battle, behind these eyes"
tattooed hopefully on my chest. It's something that's really been a big theme in my life is the depression being so silent, and hopefully this can be an avenue of talking about it to people. It's kind of inspired by the lyrics "No one knows what its like, behind blue eyes" by The Who. That song describes it perfectly for me.

its not a good idea cz maybe someday you'll get over depresion and become happy and when u'll look at ur tatoo it will alwas drag you back to forgotten and sad memories about depression so you will not be able to get better n better....

I got two tats since I have been struggling with depression and suicide.

One is Hexagon 64 of the I-Ching which literal translation means "Inner Truth"
My Second one is of twin ying yangs, which represents me being a twin, and the struggles of life. There is bad, but there is good as well. One cannot exist without the other.
